Weekend Reflection

Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
 but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
Isaiah 40:28-31

He is everlasting.
He is Creator
He will not grow tired or weary.
When we are weary, He gives us strength.
When we are weak, He increases our power.
He renews our strength when we hope in Him.
We will walk, run and soar.

Father, in this passage there is only one thing you ask us to do. You do the rest. Today we place our hope in You LORD.
What promise do you need to hear today?

    • Oh Beth I am so glad that God spoke to you through it. I was sitting on our porch swing yesterday and this passage came to mind. He will renew and strengthen, even when you feel you can’t go on.

    Only HE can provide our needs… I’m looking forward to “soaring like an eagle” time and time again. If nothing else, He just gives me encouragement to keep stepping onto His paths and go forth, relying on Him. And, yes, nothing else counts.
