Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee.
what does it look like?
smell like?
is it a sunny day? cloudy?
is it quiet? loud? what sounds to you hear?
Jesus saw two brothers.
Simon Peter and Andrew. They were casting a net.
Jesus says;
Come
Follow me
I will make you fishers of men.
At once
they left their nets
their security
their identity
their income
and followed him.
They came. They followed him. And He made them fishers of men.
Going on from there
He saw James and John
They were in their boat
with their father Zebedee
preparing their nets
Jesus called them
Immediately
they left the boat
they left their father
and followed Jesus.
Jesus sees.
He calls.
He invites.
We follow.
Letting go of our nets.
Father, what do I need to let go of today in order to follow?
